Sunday morning I participated in a Half Marathon walk.
That's 13.1 miles. Time: 3 hours, 27 minutes, 41 seconds. Much faster than I anticipated or expected. My feet ached, my knee hurt, but I finished!!!! Luckily I didn't have to walk anywhere Monday. I may or may not attach a photo of the finish . . . . I know it will look pretty bad. No hair, no makeup, exhausted look on my face. I think I'll engrave my medal so future generations will find it and say "Look what our old, out of shape, aunt did. Was she crazy or what?"
Now I'm home for a while so I plan to attack some quilting projects.
Thanks for looking.
I am so proud of you. You have actually inspired Debbie and I to start training to do some sort of walk next year too. Maybe if they do this one again, we can all do that together.
ReplyDeleteThat is awesome! I ran a 10K when I turned 40, and thought I was going to die! Never did that again, but would do a walk again :)
