When I completed Bonnie Hunter's Celtic Solstice mystery the quilt was so busy I didn't add a border. Now that I've looked at this one I'm not sure if I want a border. I'll have to think about it.

Fall Quilt
For the first time I put my fall quilt on the wall. I want to use the border fabric in some other pieces so I have to determine how much of that fabric is available. I need to decide what to use for the sashing as well.
When I completed Bonnie Hunter's Celtic Solstice mystery the quilt was so busy I didn't add a border. Now that I've looked at this one I'm not sure if I want a border. I'll have to think about it.

You need to put up several options to see what you like. I think sashing will help with the business as well. The gold really pops out at you so you might want to either accentuate that with your sashing or tone it down using the green or black. And that would depend also on your border fabric if you chose to use some.
ReplyDeleteI was thinking of using a golden orange for the sashing. I don't think I can use green or black because that fabric is in the corner of some blocks. Actually, I think I'll have to bring in a different fabric. Maybe one from the applique?
