Best of the Valley 2015

I was excited to attend the Best of the Valley quilt show Friday and find that I had two ribbons.  Once again it was a great show.  I can hardly wait to get the paperwork back and read the judges comments.

First Place!  Large quilt, mixed technique.
The quilt is mostly pieced, but there is a small bit of machine applique.
Vintage Moments pattern with small changes.

Honorable Mention.  Wall quilt.  All pieced.
This photo was taken when the quilt was wet and being blocked.

I drew the feather pattern to fit around the pieced design.
After this photo was taken I quilted the background
around the feathers.  Made the feathers stand out even more.
